Policy Research typically conducts interviews
with program staff and participants. We ask all of the respondents the same question so that we
can understand an issue from multiple perspectives. Interviews are generally
tape recorded, with the respondent’s permission. We interview
respondents in environments that are comfortable to them and
allow them to speak freely about their experiences. After
the interviews are completed, the tapes are either transcribed or summarized. The completed transcripts and summaries
then become documents that are later systematically coded
and analyzed. |
