Policy Research is committed to designing research
using multiple methods. This means that we pair surveys with interviews and observations. When possible we use creative projects such as photo- or video documentary projects to document the experiences of women or adolescents. This approach to research accomplishes several objectives.
We use academically sound methods in order to ensure that our data collection and analysis remains rigorous.
At the same time, our mix of quantitative and qualitative methods provides a way to more richly document the lives of women, adolescents, and children who participate in social programs.
This mix of methods also allows us to develop relationships with the people who participate in social programs. As research participants come to feel more comfortable with us, we are able to collect higher-quality data about the programs we evaluate. |
